Job shadowing experience in Slovenia

From 19th to 21st October 2021, three teachers from Alšova Primary School participated in a job shadowing staff mobility co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme. The job shadowing took place at Pod goro Primary School in the municipality of Slovenske Konjice in Slovenia.
On the first day of our job shadowing, the school headmistress together with the school´s Erasmus + project coordinator welcomed us to her office and gave us a brief overview of the education system and history of their school. This was followed by a tour around the school and then a visit to one of their branch schools -V parku. The branch school offers special education to children with special needs.
On the second day, the Erasmus + coordinator made a presentation of different projects implemented by their school. A job shadowing Maths lesson followed. The most interesting thing was that their school dog named Kity was part of the lesson to help the student´s attention and practical number learning skills. Other job shadowing lessons were in English language, Biology, Art, ICT and PE. In the afternoon, we took a planned guided tour around the town of Slovenske Konjice with their school iPad so as to help us understand the history of the town.
The third day of our job shadowing started with us making a PowerPoint presentation of our school-Alšova primary school. Then, our headmaster Mr. Pospěch officially invited them to visit our school soon so that they could also get to know and experience different educational and social activities implemented by our school and other cooperating partners. Later, we went for another job shadowing experience at Špitalič wood school which is their second branch school just a few kilometres from Slovenske Konjice. We were warmly welcomed by the wood school students and a tour of their school followed.
